The Zombies

The Zombies

The Zombies are an English rock band formed in 1959 in St Albans. Led by Rod Argent on piano and Colin Blunstone on vocals, the band scored US hits in the mid- and late-1960s with "She's Not There", "Tell Her No", and "Time of the Season".

Their 1968 album Odessey and Oracle, comprising twelve songs by the group's principal songwriters, Argent and Chris White, is now considered one of the best of its time and is ranked 80 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Rod and Colin continue to tour in legendary Zombies tradition and the magic of the songs will always be there. Front of House engineer Dale Hanson discovered the Audix OM6 a few years ago claiming that it is “brilliant for Colin’s voice.” Dale uses the OM6 for all vocals and runs them fairly flat with only a high pass filter. Aside from the OM6 on vocals, Dale relies on the D6 for kick, i5 for snare, and D2 and D4 on toms.
