Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World was formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band consists of Jim Adkins (vocals, lead guitar), Tom Linton (rhythm guitar, vocals), Rick Burch (bass), and Zach Lind (drums). They have released nine studio albums and several EPs.

Jimmy Eat World's breakthrough album Bleed American was released in 2001, with four singles charting Top 20 positions on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. Their hit song "The Middle" reached No. 1, and Bleed American was certified Platinum by the RIAA. Futures, the follow-up album to Bleed American, generated another hit song for the band on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, with the track "Pain." The album was awarded Gold status. 2007's Chase This Light peaked at number five on the Billboard 200, the band's highest charting album to date.
