Microphones Used: Vocals-OM6, VX5
Liv Miner is an American rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist from Dallas who has been honing her craft since she was in grade school. "I was born into a very musical family, and I started banging around on the piano as soon as I could reach it," says Liv. "I've been singing for as long as I can remember, and I picked up guitar and started writing songs at age 9."
Liv is a captivating artist-svelte and angelic, yet she powers the stage with a commanding range. Combine her vocal dynamics with cutting guitar riffs and distinct blues melodies, and you have an artist who's empirically authentic to her rock 'n' roll roots and very appealing to listen to.
In 2015, Liv finished recording NINE with her band Drayter. The album, a unique hybrid that is both rock and pop, was produced by Matt Squire (One Direction, Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande) and Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Slipknot, Godsmack). The vocally complex NINE debuted at No. 17 on the iTunes Pop Charts and has won several awards. Her Audix microphone was with her all the way.
Liv proudly brings the Audix OM6 mic to recordings and concert performances. "As a female artist in a rock band, my microphone has to be able to pick up all of the subtle nuances of my range and tone without picking up any stage volume," says Liv. "My Audix OM6 does just that, and I can really cut loose without fear of distortion or feedback."
