What people are saying about the Audix M44

"I've been playing an Audix clip on hard wire mic, model M1244 (now called M44) , on my sax for over 5 years and I love it. The tone is big & fat with a lot of edge and it allows me to cut through the Tower of Power Horns perfectly. I recently had occasion to compare it to 2 other major brand mics and it sounded far superior."
Emilio Castillo, Founding Member, Tower of Power
"Well, Travis is an amazing drummer and really smashes the kit hard. Originally there were SX1's on the HH and cymbals, but it was not to happy with the level and were crunching a bit. Swapping to the 1244's solved it and looks cool to. No mic stands anywhere near that kit, small mics, underhead cymbal mic'ing. Oh, it is a sexy setup."."
Dave Rat, Rat Sound , FOH Blink 182, Red Hot Chili Peppers
" I have been especially impressed with the Audix 1250 and 1244 (tom mics). I’ve been an avid Shure Beta 98 user for a while and love them, but the Micros just have something more. The midrange in them just brings drums to life which – on a festival run where we have a short period of time to get the previous band off, my 11-piece band on, line check 37 inputs plus local FOH inputs – means I don’t have to worry too much about my drums because I know that they are going to sound good. If I do have to reach for the EQ, it’s very quick and minimal."
